Privacy policy
What this site collects, what it does not, and how advertising and analytics are used.
Summary
NewzSchools is a static public directory. It does not require an account, does not ask for personal information to browse, and does not sell data.
Information you give us
If you email hello@newzschools.nz you voluntarily provide whatever you put in the message. That correspondence is used only to answer you and to correct the directory.
The newsletter form on this site is optional. If you subscribe, your email address is used only to send directory updates and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site may record standard technical information — IP address, browser type, referring page and the pages visited — through server logs or privacy-respecting analytics. This is used in aggregate to understand which parts of the directory are useful.
Cookies and local storage
The directory stores your grid/list view preference in your browser's local storage. That preference stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Advertising
If advertising is enabled on this site, Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site.
Data sources
The school, early childhood and qualification information published here comes from public Ministry of Education and Education Counts releases. None of that data is personal information about individual students.
Your rights
You may request access to, or correction of, any personal information held by emailing hello@newzschools.nz. You may also ask for newsletter data to be deleted.
Changes
This policy may be updated when site features change. The latest version always appears on this page.
